Process for developing an understanding of :

       Mexico Today

You and your partner will put together a portfolio to brief our candidate about current events in Mexico.  This portfolio will need to contain the following:

1.     A colorful cover that in some way depicts the contents of the portfolio.  Be creative.  Include the date and your names in the center under the title.

2.   Information will be tabbed into 5 sections: Government, Culture, Economy, Issues, and Quiz Questions.

2.      The first page of the portfolio will be a  table of contents that lists the categories in order by TABS.

3.      The answers to the questions in each category must....

a)     be in your own words, written in complete sentences, and restate the question.

b)      include the underlined web site where the answer was found.  Please be sure to use a straight edge for underlining.

c)  include when possible a copy of the paragraph or chart used to answer a question.  These can be copied to a word document and printed by section to conserve paper.  Highlight the sentence or two that provided the answer.

WARNING:  Don't print the entire site.

d)  include the last date the site was updated.

NOTE: *If you are unable to print out the paragraph from the site, that’s ok.  Just make sure that you do letter “b” mentioned above!!!

Oh yea, did I mention that you must answer the questions in complete sentences, restating the question?  I thought so!

4.      You are to read, read, and read some more before you even think about hitting that print key.  Some sites may be over 20 pages and I don’t think your parents want you printing when the sun comes up.  Again, just copy the paragraph you used to a word document and later print that.  You may include several paragraphs from different sites on one page.  Remember to include the web address and date the site was last updated.

5.      Before this task is complete, you and your partner will create a test based on your research that can be used to orally quiz our candidate.  We need to be sure he is in the know on this topic. Also include an answer key so his kids or wife can help at home.

Be creative and most importantly, have fun!

Choose from the icons below to get a list of questions our candidate wants answered.  Don't forget it's alright to include other information, but remember to be brief and to the point stating ideas clearly.
