Intramural
Bowling- Come join intramural bowling this Thursday, Dec. 4th. We will
bowl at Hortonville Lanes from 3:20-5:00 p.m. cost is $2.50 per game.
Attention
freshmen: On Monday, December 8, you
will be doing your 4 year plans in order to schedule for next year. You are
being divided into 4 groups and will need to report to study hall G150 as follows
to meet with your counselors:
A through E- 2nd hour,
F-LeMahieu- 3rd hour
Lemke, C.- Schroeder, T- 4th hour
Schultz, B.- Z= 6th hour
Report promptly and directly to the study
hall, do not go to your class first. You will be excused and attendance
will be taken at this meeting in the study
hall.
Diversity
Club: There will be a Diversity Club meeting after school on Thursday in Mrs.
Koss’s room. Please plan to attend if you want to help out with Mix It Up day at
the middle school.
Attention Polar Bear Fans: The main office
now has temporary tattoos and other spirit items for you to wear to the next basketball
game or wrestling meet. Show your polar bear pride! Single paw print tattoos are
only 50 cents each, and the others are two for $1.25, depending which ones you choose.
We’ll also have red and white spirit beads and more HHS and polar bear items in
soon.
Attention
Polar Bear mathematicians: The annual MAA Contest is being held this Thursday,
Dec. 4th. The contest is being held in the auditorium during 2nd
and 3rd hours. All students are eligible to participate in the contest.
Be sure to talk to your 2nd and 3rd hour instructors about
completing any work you may miss. Everybody brings their own calculator to the contest.
Graphics calculators are allowed. The test administrator will not have calculators
for your use… by design. Signup for the contest was held by the individual math
instructors last week. If you haven’t had the opportunity to sign up for the contest
and wish to participate, contact Mr. Frenkel today. College prep students are encouraged
to participate as it is good experience to prepare for post-secondary education.
Attention
anyone interested in joining jazz choir or show choir: We will be having an
informational meeting this Friday at 3:30 in the choir room. Show choir audition
materials will be given out at this time. Jazz choir signups will be available after
that time as well. Please see a music teacher for details about either choir. The
meeting will only take about fifteen minutes. See you on Friday!
School Play Auditions: Auditions for the
school play, “Nosferatu: The Legend of Dracula” will be held in the band room this
Thursday, Dec. 4th from 3:30-6:30 p.m. Sign up outside the band room
for an audition time. For audition materials, see Mr. Schmidt in the band room,
Mrs. Friebohle in C240 or Mrs. Johnson in the green room.
Class
Rings- Our Jostens rep will be here on December 12th during all lunch
shifts to hand out class rings. You must pay the balance due before you can pick
it up.
The
following students should report to the main office sometime today: Aly Kampa,
Luke Beyer, Caleb Boushley, Cassidee Dougherty, and Nic Cass.
College Visits:
Interested juniors and seniors should take
their passbooks to the Counseling Office for passes.
