Hortonville Area School District Administrator's News:
May, 2013
The month of May means graduation to the seniors at Hortonville High School. I wish each of them the best as they enter the next chapter in their life, whether it be college, military, or the work force.
The district has 17 employees who will be retiring at the end of the school year. Our staff recognition banquet is coming up in May, but I wanted to recognize those staff members and their years of service to the district. Congratulations to each of you and I wish you well in your retirement:

The week of May 6-10 is National Teacher Appreciation Week with May 7 being designated as National Teacher Day. We want to honor all of our teachers, but also want to include all those who work for and with our students. Thanks to each of you in the role that you serve for the district and how it impacts all the children in the Hortonville Area School District.
The district’s annual strategic planning update was held on April 20. Thanks to all who participated. Goals are being developed in the areas of Professional Learning Communities, Communications, Professional Learning, Modern Educational Services, and Facilities/Equipment/Technology.
Thank you for your participation in the spring school activities.
Sincerely,
Dr. Heidi A. Schmidt
District Administrator
