The Hortonville Area School District starts instrumental instruction in the 5th grade. Students begin by attending a fitting session with their parents in the spring of their 4th grade year, receive group instruction during the summer, and start the 5th grade year with private lessons and band practice. Every year, these band students continue to grow musically as the concerts progressively become more challenging. Our school district provides curricular instrumental instruction as well as extra curricular activities including jazz ensemble, pep band, solo/ensemble, festivals, parades and trips.
