HHS Human Anatomy and Physiology Students
to Test Participants at Expo on April 11th
Hortonville Area School District is excited for the Spotlight on Education Expo that will take place on April 11, 2013! As we get more and more proposals in, we can't help but give a "sneak peek" on some of the exciting projects that will be presented this year.
One group, the HHS Human Anatomy and Physiology class, will have a booth space at the Expo where students will test physiological parameters of Expo participants and visitors. Students will apply what they have been learning in class, such as conducting EKG, blood pressure, muscle fatigue testing.
Not only does this give Expo-goers a chance to learn and participate in the neat things that students are doing in Human Anatomy and Physiology, but it provides the students an opportunity to take their learning to the next level.
"The Expo provides an environment for students to practice soft-skills, and thoroughly explain what they are conducting on their test subjects—In this case, people attending the Expo," says Patrick Koss, an HHS Science Department teacher.
