GMS Chorus classes are held every other day for the entire school year. Students will learn the skills used in vocal music such as proper vocal technique, music reading skills, and working with others to create a performance.
Mrs. Schmidt teaches all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade chorus classes.
Grades for chorus are based on participation in class, written work, and either a quarter project done in class or a concert performance. Participation in class is expected from all students at all times.
For the 2010-2012 school year there will be two concerts. All chorus students in grades 6-8 will participate in these concerts. They will be held at the Hortonville High School auditorium on Thursday, December 8th 2011 and Thursday, May 24th 2012.
Materials: Each chorus student will need
1) A Folder to be left in the chorus room
2) Loose-leaf paper to be kept in the folder
3) A pencil
