Hello, and welcome to my web page! I always knew from a very young age that I wanted to be a teacher. Teaching has always been my passion! There is something magical about young people that I find refreshing day after day. I LOVE being a teacher, and I am so lucky to work for the Hortonville Area School District. My mission for the class is to work collaboratively as a group to achieve the highest level of learning possible! We will work as a team in a classroom where everyone feels accepted, safe, and valued. Another focus of mine is to differentiate my instruction so that individual needs are met and each student will be appropriately challenged.
I graduated with my Bachelor and Master degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in the area of Special Education. After nine years, I returned to school and earned my Regular Education license from Marian University. I have been teaching fourth grade for the past seven years. All together, this is my 16th year teaching children in some capacity or another.
On a personal note, I live in Greenville with my husband and two children. They keep me plenty busy! My favorite activity is spending time with my family- bicycling, playing board games, or just watching a movie together on our Friday family movie nights. We also have two affectionate and loyal golden retrievers and one sassy, spunky chihuahua! I am an avid reader. I love all types of books, especially children's literature. Music is another love of mine. In my spare time, I play my piano and listen to music (especially music from the 1980s!). I try to see at least one performance at the Appleton Performing Arts Center each year.
Please feel free to contact me at any time with comments, questions, or concerns. Thank you!
