Elementary Literacy Coach/Coordinator (.5 FTE)

Grades K-2 for the Hortonville Area School District
Qualifications: Valid WI teaching license, experience in teaching Reader's and Writer's Workshop Guided Reading and knowledge of Fountas and Pinnell text level assessments at the K-5 level.
Required completion of Literacy Coordinator training for TWO (2) years through a Literacy Collaborative University training site.
Preferred Master's degree in reading education, Reading Recovery training or as a Literacy Coach/Coordinator. This position provides initial and ongoing professional development for teachers through continuing graduate level courses, study groups, in-class demonstrations/model lessons and coaching in all aspects of the Literacy Collaborative framework. Position also requires the educator to work with students with a variety of literacy interventions.
