Research 2 different credit cards. Add all information to your Red Out Slide Show (sample here). Use snippets to record info.
Find out the following about the cards:
- Is there an annual fee? If so, how much is it?
- What is the APR (Annual Percentage Rate)? If a range is given, record the range, then use the lower number for calculations.
- Is there a different rate for cash advances? If so, what is it?
- Use the Credit Interest website to calculate interest and time it would take to pay off your balance of $1000
Assume you are making minimum monthly payments of $20 (increase if needed)
Use a minimum payment amount of 2%
- Record the total number of payments, the lengths of time to pay off the debt, and the total amount of interest you would pay.

For my rotation this afternoon (if it works with our space/computers), students play the Gen I Revolution game (link is on daily agenda). It should be pretty self-explanatory – create a login (please don't use your last name) and go through the missions (it helps if you have earbuds).
All students should create their own account and use the class code on the daily agenda below (copy and paste appropriate Red Out Rotation group code). If you would like, you can work with a partner to complete the mission under one partner’s account.

Write a narrative to develop real or imagined experiences or events using effective technique, relevant description details, and well-structured event sequences.
Our goal is to create a story in a fun way with multiple authors. There are 2 options for the story scramble activtiy; the activity is the same, but if more than one student wants to write the story scramble by hand, they may - otherwise use Google Docs.
- Make a copy of one of the story scrambles below
- Start writing the story for the first 5 minutes of the activity
- After 5 minutes, finish your thoughts and find another author (or author pair) to share your story with
- Continue writing the story begun by another author for the next 5 minutes
- Repeat until 30 minutes is over. The last person writing should try to end the story in a clever, but appropriate way.
