Dear Students and Parents of Greenville Middle School:
At the beginning of every year I wonder how the students will handle the demands put upon them as we continue to prepare them for the world they will enter as they cross the Hortonville High School stage on graduation day. “That’s a long way off,” you might say, but we all know how quickly time passes and how fast our children grow up. Because we know how fast time goes by, our teaching staff pays special attention to thoughtfully planning their lessons in order to maximize the learning opportunities for your children throughout the school year. As we release the children at the end of the day and they head to the comforts of home, I hope you do a few things. I hope you stop long enough to really look at your children and notice how they continue to change. I hope you set up time for them to complete their school work and support them in their efforts. I hope you plan some fun family time with no interruptions, where you can just listen to your child’s thoughts and laugh together. Finally, I hope you take the time to ask your children what their goals are for the school year. These goals add up to their future. Each year seems to be like every other in that I am at the doors on opening day wondering how the students can possibly take in all of the information we send their way. However, as they move toward their “real world” and the graduation stage, I’ll take comfort in knowing that we have come together, school, community agencies and each of you, to walk with them along the way. Enjoy the demands of this school year, enjoy the fact that you have some time before your child crosses the graduation stage, and at every opportunity listen to and laugh with your children!
Peace….Ms. Radke
