Associate Principal's Message

Welcome to Hortonville Middle School.  I am proud to be part of a caring, Kids at Hope school community.  We believe that all children are capable of success, NO EXCEPTIONS.  In addition to strong academic and co-curricular programs, we focus on creating students who are people of character who value and practice strong positive relationships.  Our SMART Start program in 7th and 8th grade groups 10-12 students with one teacher who meet daily from 7:55 - 8:10.  The purpose of SMART Start is to foster positive relationships between students and staff.  The National Middle School Association's position paper, This We Believe, recommends an adult advocate for every child.  SMART Start allows faculty members to be advocates for the students in their groups.   SMART Start acitivities include lessons in character education, physical fitness, academic and behavioral goal setting, and opportunities to have fun which promote positive realtionships.  We take pride in our school and in ourselves.  Thank you for visiting our website.

Feel free to contact me via email.
