The 2017-2018 school-year is right around the corner and I am thrilled to be a part of the Hortonville Community and welcome back the students of Hortonville High School. High school is an amazing opportunity for students to prepare for their future. Hortonville High School is committed to providing all students to be career-and-college-ready with individualized, rigorous, and meaningful learning experiences to prepare them for college, leadership, and life.
The 2016-2017 school year gave us many reasons to celebrate. The continued rise of our state assessment scores and Advanced Placement scores confirm the staffs’ dedication to providing a relevant and stimulating curriculum and the students’ devotion to challenge themselves with a rigorous course load. Many of our organizations and sport teams experienced great success and had tremendous school and community support. Hortonville High School continues to be a force to be reckoned with both inside and outside the classroom and the envy of the Fox Valley area. Each of our past successes are a result of all stakeholders – staff, students, parents and the Hortonville Community working together to provide our students with top-notch facilities and opportunities. As we move closer to the beginning of the new school year, I would like to encourage all students to challenge themselves to achieve at the highest levels during all that they do throughout this school year.
Nothing motivates a student more than when the target is set high and there are many people surrounding that student to assist them in reaching their goal. That is why as parents, I encourage you to get involved during the 2017-2018 school year. Support your child both inside and outside the classroom by taking an interest in their school work and supporting them to explore extra and co-curricular opportunities. Get involved by volunteering at events and in booster organizations that provide opportunities that enhance our students’ overall education.
I believe that the future of more great achievements is found in the combined efforts of all stakeholders working together. I once again look forward to working with each of you to make the 2017-2018 school year the best yet. Together, I challenge everyone to achieve greatness in all that they do during this school year.
Yours in Education,

Thomas J. Ellenbecker
