Washington D.C. Tour

Updated April 18th 2011.

Our Band had the distinct honor of being the first high school band in the entire parade, right behind all the military groups... WOW!  What a sight! After the performance, the band came back to the hotel for a well deserved rest before heading to the concert on the Capital Lawn.

The pride felt by all the participants will stay with them for the rest of their lives.

The students, chaperones, guides, directors, and drivers have all made this trip a huge success. Thank you to everyone for making this Positive Life Changing Experience possible.

The HHS Band departed for DC at 7:30am on June 30th. They traveled south to Chicago then headed East on HWY 80. They arrived in Cleveland Ohio where they toured the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and spent the night at the Crown Plaza Hotel overlooking Lake Erie. In the morning the had a full beffet breakfast before continuing on. Everyone enjoyed the beauty of our great country as they traveled through the hills of Pennsylvania. After arriving at their hotel, the band took advantage of their early arrival to get in an additional practice before supper. They marched and played through the winding parking lot of their hotel before departing for a well deserved dinner. Everyone was tired from the long bus ride but excited to start sight seing Washington DC in the morning.
