Director Biography
Mr. Justin Foth grew up in Spencer, WI and was very involved in music. He played trombone, and electric bass in Band and Jazz Band. Mr. Foth then went on to attend The University of Wisconsin - Green Bay (UWGB). Mr. Foth holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music, with a minor in Education, and is certified to teach General and Vocal Music for all ages. Mr. Foth student taught in the Green Bay Area School District in both the high school and the elementary school. Mr. Foth graduated from UWGB Cum Laude in December of 2012. Mr. Foth then went on to teach in the Merrill School District as a long term substitute at Kate Goodrich Elementary School, and secured a full time position for the 2013-2014 School year at Parkside Middle School in Wautoma, WI. During his two years at Parkside he directed three choirs, a show choir, taught 5th, and 6th grade general music, and was Assistant Musical Director. Mr. Foth Directed two 5th grade musicals "On the Radio", and "Go West", and was Assistant Director for the Wautoma High School productions of "Phantom of the Opera", and "Fiddler on the Roof".
In 2015 Mr. Foth was hired as the Choir Director at HHS. He has since lead the department in numerous concerts and local singing tours as well as numerous trips. He directed “The Wizard of Oz”, “Once Upon a Mattress”, “Shrek the Musical”, "Annie", "Seussical", "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee", and has directed the vocal music for "Freaky Friday", and "The Addams Family" for HHS. Mr. Foth started a mixed Vocal Jazz ensemble that consistently earns high marks at District and State Solo and Ensemble. Mr. Foth encourages and supports the student-run A Capella ensemble Treblesome Teens, which has grown from a group of friends that sing together to a functioning ensemble with numerous community performances and competes in the ICHSA tournament.
He also enjoys gardening, camping, and spending time with family, loved ones, and his dogs.
