About Me
I graduated from UW-Whitewater where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Education in Elementary/Middle Education. While there, I also minored in Mathematics and Special Education. After a few years as a substitute teacher, a tutor, a teacher at the Sylvan Learning Center, and a summer school teacher I became a graduate student at UW-Oshkosh. There I completed a second licensure program in cross-categorical Special Education. I have been a full-time special education teacher for five years at two schools (Wisconsin Virtual Academy and Webster Stanley Middle School in Oshkosh). I was a Math Interventionist and Math Skills teacher at Webster Stanley Middle School.
The leisure activities I enjoy beyond teaching include scrapbooking/making cards, quilting, playing my flute, and spending time with family and friends. My husband and I were married September of 2008. We have one daughter, McKenna, who just started Kindergarten. As a family, we enjoy taking walks, biking, and remodeling our home. I hope to be able to learn more about each of your families.
