Spanish Honor Society Announces Officers and New Members
The Spanish Honor Society is a national organization sponsored by the American Association for Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese with the purpose of recognizing high achievement in the study of the Spanish or Portuguese language and culture.
The Hortonville High School chapter engages in a variety of service activities related to Spanish, including tutoring on Tuesday mornings from 7:45 to 8:20 a.m., volunteering at the Wisconsin Association for Language Teachers Fall conference, collecting eyeglasses for the local Lions Club to distribute in Latin American countries, and raising funds to sponsor the education of five young girls in Nicaragua.
