Forensics is a competitive speech and acting category that offers all sorts of opportunities for students to improve their public speaking skills. There are about 18 categories to compete in, ranging from categories that focus on acting and interpretation of literature to speech and writing and presenting. The season starts with practices beginning in November, then competitions occur on Saturdays from the middle of January through March, with a culminating State Competition in April. Select years there may also be an opportunity to compete in the National Qualifying Tournament.
