HASD is committed to supporting the success of our student-athletes—on and off the field. As changes in Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) regulations take effect across Wisconsin, it is important that students and families understand what these changes mean and how they apply to high school athletics.
The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) has adopted new guidelines allowing high school student-athletes to profit from their name, image, and likeness under specific conditions. These opportunities may include endorsements, personal appearances, social media promotions, and other promotional activities—provided they comply with WIAA rules and do not conflict with school or team policies.
This page serves as a centralized resource to help our Polar Bear student-athletes and families navigate the evolving NIL landscape. Below, you will find official WIAA documents, educational tools, FAQs, and guidance materials designed to help you make informed decisions while maintaining eligibility and focusing on academic and athletic excellence. We encourage families to review this information carefully and reach out to the HHS athletic department with any questions.
