It feels like I have had a very long journey to get to Greenville Middle School! My teaching career began in 2001 after graduating from UW-Stevens Point. I taught high school history in Marathon, WI, for a couple years. In 2004, I married my husband, Bret, and we moved to Greenville. It only took one drive through this area to know we were meant to raise our family here.
I chose to be a stay-at-home mom and loved my time with my three daughters. I always stayed active in the schools with subbing and volunteering but once my youngest went to school I knew I was ready to go back to teaching. I taught ELA for one year at HMS before coming to GMS in 2021.
I am passionate about history and reading, so I feel very blessed to be able to teach both ELA and Social Studies at GMS! My family loves to travel as much as possible and in the summer we love going up north and boating. I also enjoy watching my children's many activities as well as being a Girl Scout leader.
I think middle school kids are the best kids around (especially 7th graders) and I can't wait to share my passion of history and reading with them!
