Positive Reinforcements
A way of showing students that a positive action really makes us all feel much better is
through meaningful reactions by others. Thus, positive reinforcements are given when
students choose to behave in an acceptable manner. At the same time, this will encourage
those students whose behaviors are not at the acceptable level yet, to be encouraged to
switch to more appropriate ones. Individual as well as group awards can be earned
by EVERY student all by the way they act and treat others in class.
Individual Awards: Verbal praise, positive notes home, stickers, sweet treats, special
award times, free assignment sheets, polar bear slips
Group Awards: Class party or movie, extra recess, computer free time, special projects
