The Hortonville Area School District is located in East Central Wisconsin, in Outagamie County. It covers 118 square miles which includes the Village of Hortonville, Town of Greenville, portions of the Town of Liberty, Town of Center, Town of Dale, Town of Hortonia, Town of Ellington, and Town of Grand Chute with an approximate population of 13,485 and a tax base of just over one billion dollars.
Several main highways run through the Hortonville Area School District including Highway 15, Highway 96 and Highway 76. The Outagamie County Regional Airport is also located within our school district boundaries.
Fox Valley Technical College, UW Fox Valley, Lawrence University, and UW Oshkosh are a few colleges that are within minutes of our school district.
The Hortonville Area School District serves approximately 3,598 students, housed within five (5) school buildings and four (4) off site locations for our 4K program. It is comprised of a white (93%), Hispanic (4%), and other (3%) student population. Bilingual programs are offered at each of our schools.
- Hortonville High School – 1,077 students (Grades 9-12)
- Hortonville Middle School – 432 students (Grades 5-8)
- Fox West Academy (Charter School) – 60 Students – housed in the Hortonville Middle School
- Hortonville Elementary School – 566 students (Grades 4K-4)
- Greenville Middle School – 557 students (Grades 5-8)
- Greenville Elementary School – 752 student (Grades K-4)

Fifteen percent of our district’s students qualify for free and reduced lunch and we provide special education services to about 13% of our students.
With the passing of our referendum in April 2013, North Greenville Elementary School will be open for the 2014-2015 school year (Grades K-4). Renovation to the high school and a four (4) classroom addition to Hortonville Middle school will also be complete for the 2014-2015 school year.

The district employees over 460 full and part time individuals and is the largest employer within the Village of Hortonville.
The Hortonville Area School District’s general budget is $33,975,426 of which 67% is salary and benefits. The district wide average tax rate of $9.35 is per $1,000 of property value amounts, actual tax rates may vary by municipalities.
