Quizlet is more than its flashcards. There are other ways to learn.
Under LEARN, you are able to check your learning through multiple choice options of a term.
- Click on this once you've gone over the flashcards several times, so you can check how well you're learning the material.
Under WRITE, you need to write the German word, phrase or sentence that is given to you in English.
- Click on this once you are familiar with the spelling of the material.
Under SPELL, you will again practice your ability to write German. This time, however, you hear the German in addition to seeing the English.
- It is recommended you try this before you try WRITE. This is very similar to WRITE, with the added feature of hearing what you are expected to type. Hearing the German can help you become successful.
Under TEST, you can take an assessment to test what you've learned. The great thing about this feature is you can change the parameters of your assessment.
- Click on OPTIONS and change the kinds of questions (multiple choice, True/False, writing) and the number of questions.
The next two features are sometimes listed under STUDY and sometimes under their own category, PLAY.
Under MATCH, you need to drag either the German card over to the English match, or the English card over to the German match. Try to beat your previous speed!!
- Sometimes you don't need to drag cards, but click on one, and then click on its match.
- This is a fun way to check your ability to understand the German you are studying.
Under GRAVITY, you need to save the planet below from asteroids plummeting toward the surface. To do this, you need to type the translation of the word, phrase or sentence that appears on the asteroid.
- You have to type it exactly as it is on the flashcards when you learn them, including the punctuation.
- If you are unable to correctly type out the word, phrase or sentence before it hits the planet, you are given the correct answer and you have to type it correctly before you can move on.
- BEWARE THE RED ASTERIODS!! If you are unable to type the correct answer from the red asteroids before it hits the planet, your game is over.
