Registration for the 2025-26 school year for new students, including those entering HASD's 4K program, is now open. When registering your student, please make sure you are choosing the correct school year.
Important Notes about Registering Your Student
- When entering parent information, please enter the parent who you would like contacted first.
- In a situation of a split family, Family 1 should be the parent who would have placement for the child. We ask that you upload or provide a copy of the most recent court order for the child's Cum Folder. Family 2 will be the second parent. Please note that Skyward only allows one parent of a split family to have primary access. This should be the parent who would have placement. Both parents have control of their own private information.
- In the situation where placement is 50/50, Family 1 should be the parent who you should be notified first. Also, in a situation where one parent lives in the District and one parent lives out of the District, it is best to list the parent living in the District as Family 1. If you choose or have a standing court order stating to have the parent living out of the District as Family 1, you will then need to register your child through the Open Enrollment process on the DPI website.
- When entering parent information, the legal/birth parent should be listed as the 'first' parent.
- Step-parents will not be added unless you provide supporting legal documentation or this Confidential Information Release Form. (Please complete form included within the registration.) This form must be completed if you are entering a Step-Parent, Family Friend, Aunt, Uncle, Sibling or Grand-Parent to your family information. If a Confidential Information Release Form is not included with the registration for a non-biological person in the registration, their name will be placed under Emergency Contact but not in the Family.
- Birth Certificate
- Law prohibits the District from copying this legal document. However, you may upload a copy into the registration, or send a picture to tamieneilson@hasd.org. Once received, verification of the child's name, date of birth, and birth place can be made. We ask that this be done at the time of the online registration process.
- Proof of Residence
- Each new family or parent of a new student must provide Proof of Residence. This information is needed to place your child into the correct boundary zone. Proof of Residence is needed prior to the child being entered into the Skyward student database. You may upload a copy of any invoice or statement (i.e. electric bill) showing your name and address of your district residence. You may take a picture and upload into the registration or email to tamieneilson@hasd.org. Once this has been received, we will be able to verify that your address in within the District. We ask that this be done at the time of the online registration.
- Please note: If verification of Birth Certificate and Proof of Residence are not received prior to the first day of school, your child's registration will be processed in the Skyward database; however, parents will not have access into Skyward until all necessary information has been received. Questions or concerns may be directed to the District Office / Student Registration.
- If you'd prefer to utilize in-person registration, you may print out the forms listed below, fill out the required information, and bring them to your child's school office.
